Projects

12 Vibrant Locations:

At present, we have approximately 3500 volunteers who are influencing lives of over 8000 children in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Baroda, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Khedbrahma, Lukhnow, Trichi, Pondicherry, Balotra, Banglore, Noida and in Melbourne. The 2 hours a week that they contribute to YUVA's projects is changing not only the lives of the underprivileged children but also enriching lives of our volunteers.

Baroda

1) Shishu Milap 1

Brief: This project mainly strives at providing vocational training to kids from poor family backgrounds through non-formal education methods. The YuVA Unstoppable volunteers, with the support of the teachers of Shishu Milaap diligently work towards securing a better future for the kids here by preparing them for various employment tests.

2) Shishu Milap 2

Brief: This project mainly strives at providing vocational training to kids from poor family backgrounds through non- formal education methods. 3) Shishu Milap 3

Brief: This project mainly strives at providing vocational training to kids from poor family backgrounds through non- formal education methods. 4) Boys Observatory

Brief: As the name suggests, this project has only boys' residents. Along with assistance in studies, YuVA Unstoppable undertakes many creative activities at this place which may help the boys secure a decent education for themselves in future.

5) Fatehsingh Ashram.

Brief: It goes without saying that children from economically backward families form the main bulk of population here. YuVA Unstoppable Volunteers help these kids in academia so that they can become financially self reliant.

6) Physically Handicap

Brief: This place is for all those children who are physically handicap. Volunteers help grow the spirit of them being normal.

7) Juvenile Home

Brief: This is a Criminal Home where troubled kids are given refuge so as to help them become responsible citizens. Volunteers mainly concentrate on building healthy amicable bonds with the kids. Stress is laid on sharing personal life experiences with the juveniles to instill in them sound moral values.

8) Street Project

Brief: Children are brought from different area of the city. YuVA provides them with entertainment, health tips and education which are very necessary for them to grow as a person who can be independent.

9) Arpan – School of Mentally Challenged

Brief: A temple of love and affection, this place shelters physically disabled or mentally handicapped kids. This unique project not only challenges the patience of the volunteers but also instills a more humane attitude in them. Sharing quality time with the kiddies and undertaking activities such as will appeal to their innocent minds- singing jingles, dancing, so on and so forth are the quintessential YuVA Unstoppable features of this place.

10) Handmade Home

Brief: Wherein students from all the above projects are identified for their special skills and all the volunteers remain present during that course of time.

11) Girls’ Observatory Home.

Brief: As the name suggests, this project has only girl residents. Along with assistance in studies, Yuva Unstoppable undertakes many creative activities at this place which may help the girls secure a decent vocation for themselves in future.
 

12) Child Care

Brief: Also known by the name “BAL KALYAN KUTIR”, this place is home for children aged 5 to 12 years. For members as young as them, fun and learn activities form the main part of Yuva’s agenda. Outdoor games also find a place in the activities undertaken here.

13) Raneshwar Temple School (will be started again soon)

Brief: This project is a primary education school that is run by the temple trust. On Saturdays, which is a half day in school, Yuva Unstoppable volunteers assist the children in their study which is as good as providing free tuitions for these underprivileged students.

17) Sahaj Shishu Milaap, Sahkarnagar

Brief:This project mainly strives at providing vocational training to kids from poor family backgrounds through non-formal education methods. 18) Mother Teresa Foundation.

Brief: This orphanage shelters very young kids below 14 years of age. The Yuva Unstoppable volunteers try to create a conducive atmosphere for their all round development by not only helping them in studies but also filling the emptiness in their lives with parental care and concern.

19) Helping Hands

Brief:This is a VMC School adopted by Helping Hands were YUVA Unstoppable has been given the responsibility of imparting computer education to the children of 6th and 7th Standard children.

Anand / Vidhyanagar projects

 1) FEED THE HUNGRY :

Brief: It is a sunday school programm where we work for about 22 kids who belong to SLUMS at anand.

Activities:
1) Interactive & non-conventional learning programms are conducted.
2) Health awareness is spread amomng them.
3) Manners & behaviour is observed & improved.
4) Activities like collage & origamy are conducted to develop their creativity.
5) we end every session with a food packet.   
6) This project is for slum kids around 100 of them where we teach these kids basic cleanliness n physical exercises teach poems and personality development programs, drawing and art and then at last feed them with quality food.

 2) ANDH-APANG SEVA TRUST MOGRI :

Brief: we work for about 58-60 kids who are physically handicaped and\or blind at mogri.

Activities:
1) we conduct interaction sessions with them to improve their self-confidence.
2) latest scientific developments are shared with them to keep their knowledge upto date.
3) we take care of their health related issues.
4) This project is for blind kids studying in standard 1st to 10th where volunteers help the trust in recording cassettes, motivating kids to play outdoor sports, teaching them basic English and hindi, helping teachers in improving kids music skills and many more activities.

3) JOYLAND - SALVATION ARMY SCHOOL :

Brief: we teach english to around 28-30 students & help them out in extra curricular activities.

Activities:
1) Teaching english in non formal ways.
2) we make them work on science projects to develop their intellectual level.
3) we have created their dance & drama performances where we help them with scripts & reharsals.
4) The project is for handicapped children where volunteers help them in their school studies; provide general knowledge and nationwide news and other vocational activities.

4) MITRA REHABILITATION CENTRE - ANUPAM MISSION MOGRI:

Brief: it is rehab centre for mentally handicaped children reffered as "Special Children" . it is well equiped with staff & latest instruments to help special children to improve. we provide them all possible volounteery support in their various activities.

5) Anupam mission - Mogri road, near janta chowkadi

Activities: This project is about mentally challenged kids where volunteers help them in sports, vocational training, school events and competitions and also in dance.

6) Random Act of Kindness

Activities: This project is about spreading kindness in any way like cleaning the restaurants, roads, helping any old people and lot more ways.

Ahmedabad

Activities: Here we go as their Grandchildren and talk with them and also play games like musical chairs and housie.

5) Visamo Kids

Activities: A Visamo kids is an initiative of calorax foundation. They provide shelter and top class education to underprivileged kids. We help them in achieving their objective.

 Mumbai Projects

1) Sneha Sadan - Andheri East

Brief: It is a home for the runaway kids and we go to teach and play games with them. Sometimes the volunteers play intellectual games and quizzes.

2) Children Of the World Trust - Nerul Navi Mumbai

Brief: It is an orphanage and the volunteers spend quality time sometimes even teaching dance and cultural games.

3) Feed The Hungary - Charni Road

Brief: This is at the Girgaum chowpaty. The children present live in and around the beach. we started this project only to feed the children and now have started teaching children as well those interested and playing games.

4) The Goregaon - Goregaon East

Brief: This is the tribal area in the aarey milk colony. The project has been started primarily to teach the tribal children

5) Nirmal Lifestyle - Mulund

Brief: This is in the nirmal lifestyle complex, behind the shopping mall, where the construction workers stay. We started this project to teach the children and spread the awareness on the importance of education in the sect. About half a dozen children started going to schools after we spoke with their parents.

6) Aseema Bandra - Bandra West

Brief: This is with the NGO, Aseema. The Ngo runs a support function after school hours and volunteers help by teaching the children.

7) Asha Kiran - Andheri West

Brief: This is with Asha Kiran, an NGO working for children. The volunteers have taken up the challenge of teaching English as this was a matter of concern due to the not so competent staff.

8) Mobile Creche - Goregaon(W), Powai, Versova, Oshiwara, Bhandup & Thane west

Brief: Mobile Creche is an NGO that works at the construction sites at various places in Mumbai. The partnership with them has helped the volunteers to reach out to many children and hence make a difference to many lives. The volunteers teach the children of the construction workers.

9) Bandra east community center - Bandra East

Brief: Becc is a home for the orphans in bandra near the cardinal school. Father Cyril at the center is very helpful and has been thinking of a plan to make the volunteers visit a better experience.

10) Leap 4 word - Andheri East

Brief: This is a group who has taken up the responsibility of teaching the children of the Holy Family School. The volunteers go and help them teach the children.

11) Charkop Sai Academy - Charkop Kandivalli East

Brief: Sai academy is a small school for the children near the slums in the Kandivalli east area.

Khedbrahma

1) Civil Hospital

Brief: Khedbrahma is a small town. Our volunteers go to city civil hospital every Monday and distribute medicines to the child patients. They sit there and play various games with them. They spend quality time with these patients.

2) Feed the Hungry

Brief: We run this project in a municipal school. We started this project only to feed the children and now have started teaching children as well those interested and playing games.

Bangalore

Change India

Brief: We just started project with a concept called change India, initiated by R.K. Mishra Lead India'08 winner. We are working for children projects.

Lukhnow

Basti ka Talav

Brief: Basti Ka Talav is a village near Lukhnow and we go there thrice a week and teach almost 90 underprivileged kids. These kids do not go to schools and we give them knowledge of Math, English and basic science.
