| YuVA salutes traffic cops |
| YuVA Unstoppable, an organisation working to enlighten around 10,000 underprivileged kids, on Sunday organised a function to express gratitude towards traffic police personnel of the city.
Christened “Kindness Acts for Traffic Police”, around 100 volunteers participated in the event that started from GLS Auditorium at 9.30 am. The programme started with the speech of Amitabh Shah, the founder of YuVA, on “Connecting Dots”. Four chief guests of the function, three slum kids from Gulbai Tekra and a Class X student of Visamo Kids Foundation, were felicitated.
Thereafter, the volunteers divided into two groups and visited all the major traffic junctions, including Paldi, Panchvati and IIM cross roads.
They distributed butter milk among traffic cops and gave them Jaadu ki Jhappi (hugged them) at every junction.
At IIM-A cross roads, the delegates had an interaction with Atul Karwal, the Traffic Police Commissioner, who appreciated them for their spirit and kind service.
Karwal said: “You can conduct this kind of awareness programmes in school, colleges and youth organisations also. That will really help us.” |
